Updated AEW All In 2024 Match Card Predictions After Forbidden Door Results

Erik BeastonJul 1, 2024

On the heels of another unforgettable Forbidden Door pay-per-view, All Elite Wrestling now sets its sights on All In at Wembley Stadium in London on August 25.

The biggest show of the year for the company is sure to have a stacked lineup, with championship matches up and down the card.

Based on the results from Sunday's PPV, we have an idea of where things might be heading at Wembley and a potential outline for some of the top matches on the card.

As AEW moves forward with its creative and sets the stage for the London event, here are a few predictions for what fans might expect from Tony Khan and his matchmaking.

AEW Forbidden Door Results

1 of 6

AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland def. Will Ospreay to retain

AEW International Championship: MJF vs. Daniel Garcia

2 of 6

Though there has been no official graphic, MJF laid down the challenge to Daniel Garcia on the June 26 episode of AEW Dynamite for a match in Wembley, and the Buffalo native appeared poised to accept.

That is, until AEW international champion Will Opsreay interrupted with a challenge of his own for a title match against Garcia this Wednesday on Dynamite.

A frustrated MJF watched from the corner as Ospreay laid on the pleasantries, clearly unhappy with the events unfolding before him.

That both he and Garcia were shown watching from a distance as the Englishman unsuccessfully attempted to wrest the AEW world title from Swerve Strickland Sunday night was another attempt by company officials to keep the focus on the three of them.

That focus will pay off with a three-way dance at Wembley, with The Aerial Assassin's championship at stake in what should be one of the best matches on the entire show based solely on the talent involved.

AEW World Women's Championship: Mariah May vs. 'Timeless' Toni Storm

3 of 6

All appeared right with the world Sunday night as Toni Storm, Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa shared a kiss in the middle of the ring and walked off arm-in-arm.

While that may be the case for the next couple of weeks, there is still the matter of May's place in the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament and a potential championship opportunity against Storm at stake.

May is from London and what better way for her to continue her momentous first year in AEW than by challenging her mentor for the top prize in the women's division in her hometown?

There is plenty of time for issues to return to the surface between the two and for Storm to find herself on the receiving end of a challenge she may not see coming.

If so, it will be the second year in a row that she squares off against a former associate. A year ago, she lost to former Outcast partner Saraya.

FTW Championship: Hook vs. Chris Jericho

4 of 6

While the idea of Chris Jericho's Learning Tree shtick continuing long enough to get us to All In is appealing to no one outside of the performer himself, a showdown with Hook over the FTW Championship feels like the most appropriate conclusion to their rivalry.

A year ago, Hook battled Jack Perry in a match that made more headlines for the latter's controversial mid-match actions than anything the wrestlers did in the context of the contest.

This year, he has a chance to again regain the title introduced to the wrestling world via his father, Taz, and to get a career-defining victory over a future Hall of Famer as a result.

Hook already scored a clean win over Jericho Sunday, adding insult to injury by pinning him with his own Judas Effect.

Jericho will look for revenge and likely find it, intensifying the rivalry and putting in place the need to have one last match to wrap things up and hopefully move on.

TBS Championship: Britt Baker vs. Mercedes Moné

5 of 6

Mercedes Moné defeated Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door in one of the show's better matches, only to see her celebration cut short with the return of Britt Baker.

Baker had missed about nine months of television but exploded back onto the scene, ready to reassert herself in a women's division she helped build from the ground up as one of the AEW originals.

The clash is a star-studded one, a legitimate dream match between two women who have served as the faces of women's wrestling in North America.

It is a contest that could easily headline any PPV on its own merit, including All In. While that is unlikely to be the case here, it will still make headlines and draw attention.

That the fans have not embraced Moné as expected, and greeted Baker with a hero's return, will add another layer to a feud that is likely to feature some cutting promo work.

AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page

6 of 6

Hangman Page remembers what Swerve Strickland did to him, invading his home and threatening his children.

It has consumed him in his absence and last Wednesday night on Dynamite, an unsettling video package hinted at the former world champion's return.

Look for that to happen sooner rather than later, perhaps as soon as this week, setting in motion the rekindling of the best rivalry in AEW over the last eight months and a legitimate main event showdown for All In.

We have seen brutal matchups in the past out of Strickland and Page and considering their program was never officially concluded following a Triple Threat match at Revolution in March, there is unfinished business.

Addressing it on the biggest stage AEW has to offer feels like the right call.

That their previous encounters have been nothing short of extraordinary makes it that much more attractive a headliner.
