NFL Rumors: Colts' Anthony Richardson 'On Track' for Week 1 amid Injury Rehab
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, who is recovering from a Grade 3 AC joint sprain, is "on track" to be ready for the start of the 2024 season.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the latest on NFL Live.
"They feel like he's right where he should be today. They don't have to rush him. They know they have Joe Flacco in reserve, but he is on track right now to be ready for the start of the season.

2027 NFL Mock Draft Way-Too-Early Predictions
"... The Colts know they have a huge talent on their hands. They're going to be very careful with him knowing his injury history, knowing what he's coming off of last season but right now I think he's right where they want him to be."
Richardson only played four games last year before being lost for the season. He completed 59.5 percent of his passes for 577 yards, three touchdowns and one interception and rushed for 136 yards and four more scores.
The Colts selected Richardson, 22, with the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft out of Florida in 2023.
Richardson showcased his sky-high potential and electric talent in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, his rookie season was cut well-short, but he's thankfully on track to return in time for the Colts' Sept. 8 season-opener against the reigning AFC South champion Houston Texans.
Indianapolis does have a great backup option in Joe Flacco, the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Flacco signed with the Colts after throwing for 13 touchdowns and 1,616 yards in just five games with the Cleveland Browns last year.
Hopefully Richardson goes through a successful rehab and a healthy season, though, as he looks to make his mark in the league.
It's not impossible to see him becoming one of the most dynamic offensive talents in football based on the glimpse fans got in just four games last year. And right now, it looks like Richardson will get that chance starting in Week 1 as the Colts look to improve upon a 9-8 mark.
