Caitlin Clark, Fever's Road Games vs. Atlanta Dream Moved to Hawks' NBA Arena
The Atlanta Dream will move their two home games against Catilin Clark and the Indiana Fever from their regular venue to the home of the Atlanta Hawks to accommodate the expected larger crowd, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).
The Dream's regular venue at Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta holds 3,500 people, but they will move to State Farm Arena when the Fever come to town on June 21 and Aug. 26. State Farm Arena holds more than 17,000 fans.
Atlanta already boasts some of the biggest crowds in the WNBA, leading the league in sellouts over the past two seasons. With the added excitement around Clark's debut season, the team felt it was best to move to a larger venue.

Ex-Iowa star Kate Martin waived by WNBA team
"Atlanta Dream fans are the best in the WNBA," team president and COO Morgan Shaw Parker said in a statement. "Their passion and excitement led us to the most sellouts in the league over the last two years and has created a demand for tickets that far outpaces the supply inside our current arena, which is why we wanted to find a way to give more fans access to experience these two games."
Ahead of the 2024 WNBA season, the Dream became the second team in league history to sell its entire season ticket allotment, and 10 of its 20 games this year are already sold out.
Atlanta began its season with a 92-81 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday.
The Dream are no stranger to State Farm Arena, as they played there from 2008 to 2016, when they transitioned to Georgia Tech's arena for a pair of seasons. Atlanta returned to State Farm Arena in 2019 but moved to Gateway Center Arena after it opened ahead of the 2020 season.
Clark's arrival to the WNBA has already brought historic crowds and interests to the league. The Connecticut Sun sold out their home opener against Clark and the Fever on Tuesday, marking the team's first sellout since 2003. Clark's first preseason game against the Dallas Wings on the road was also a sellout.
Clark is off to a solid start in her professional career, notching 20 points in her debut, though Indiana lost to the Sun 92-71. She'll look to lead her team to their first win on Thursday as the Fever take on the New York Liberty at home.
