Eagles' Isaiah Rodgers Reinstated by NFL After Season-Long Gambling Suspension
After sitting out the entire 2023 season during his yearlong suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was reinstated by the league on Tuesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rodgers reportedly can begin participating in all team activities, effective immediately.
The NFL began investigating Rodgers in June of last year while he was a member of the Indianapolis Colts. A sportsbook account was allegedly made under the name of one of his associates and it placed over 100 bets over an undisclosed amount of time, including on Colts games.

Rodgers was among several players to be suspended due to violations of the gambling policy. He apologized for his indiscretions in a tweet, saying he would "take full responsibility" for the situation.
"I know I have made mistakes and I am willing to do whatever it takes to repair the situation," Rodgers wrote at the time. "The last thing I ever wanted to do was to be a distraction to the Colts organization, my coaches, and my teammates. I've let people down that I care about. I made an error in judgment and I am going to work hard to make sure that those mistakes are rectified through this process. It's an honor to play in the NFL and I have never taken that lightly. I am very sorry for all of this."
The Colts waived Rodgers shortly after his suspension, and the Eagles signed him in August and placed him on the reserve/suspended list.
A sixth-round pick in the 2020 draft, Rodgers has played in 45 career games and recorded 90 total tackles, 10 passes defended and three interceptions.
