NFL 'Monitoring' Chiefs' Rashee Rice amid Allegations Following 6-Car Crash
The NFL is "monitoring" the ongoing investigation into Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice's involvement in a high-speed Dallas car crash, NFL vice president of communications Brian McCarthy confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Dallas police are investigating a crash that occurred Saturday when two vehicles lost control while racing and caused a crash involving four other vehicles. One of the vehicles was believed to be registered or leased to Rice, per the Dallas Morning News.
"The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information," Dallas police said in a statement.

Rice's attorney, Royce West, said the wideout is cooperating with authorities.
Chiefs president Mark Donovan addressed the situation on a recent radio interview, saying the team is waiting for the investigation to play out.
"In all these situations you have to wait until you have all the facts and frankly, we don't have all the facts at this point," Donovan said on KCMO-AM. "The one comforting fact that we do have is that there was a multi-car crash in Texas, in Dallas, and fortunately, it doesn't appear that anyone was hurt and we should be grateful for that. We'll get to the bottom of it, we'll gather the facts and we'll react accordingly."
Rice grew up in North Richland Hills, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and played college football at SMU. He was a second-round pick of the Chiefs last season and recorded 79 receptions for 938 yards with seven touchdowns as a rookie.
The nature of Rice's alleged involvement in the crash is unclear.
No one was seriously injured. Two people received medical attention for minor injuries at the scene, and two more were taken to the hospital for treatment.
