Marvin Harrison Jr. to Bears, Joins Caleb Williams in Tannenbaum's GM NFL Mock Draft
Former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum released a mock draft Tuesday that may seem like a fever dream come true for Chicago Bears fans.
The longtime exec, who now works at ESPN, released a mock of how he would draft if he were running teams, and it resulted in the Bears landing Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick and Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 9.
Here is a look at how the top 10 played out:

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
- Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams (QB, USC)
- Washington Commanders: Drake Maye (QB, North Carolina)
- New England Patriots: Jayden Daniels (QB, LSU)
- Arizona Cardinals: J.J. McCarthy (QB, Michigan)
- Los Angeles Chargers: Joe Alt (OT, Notre Dame)
- New York Giants: Malik Nabers (WR, LSU)
- Tennessee Titans: JC Latham (OT, Alabama)
- Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner (EDGE, Alabama)
- Chicago Bears: Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Ohio State)
- New York Jets: Olumuyiwa Fashanu (OT, Penn State)
Of course, the actual draft will likely look nothing like this. Tannenbaum acknowledged as much, saying he was not mocking what he believes teams will do but rather how he would handle the draft.
In projecting Malik Nabers to the New York Giants at No. 6, Tannenbaum acknowledged he's among the talent evaluators who like the LSU product over Harrison.
"You might be screaming for Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. here, but this WR1 race is really close, and I'm actually giving Nabers the edge because of his speed," Tannenbaum wrote. "Nabers averaged 15.9 yards per reception for his career and scored 14 TDs last season. He's the most dynamic prospect in the class, both as a route-runner and after-the-catch playmaker. The Giants offense desperately needs that sort of impact player."
Even more interesting than Tannenbaum's take on the top wide receivers is the fact that he has the Arizona Cardinals taking Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy. The former Jets general manager cites Kyler Murray's inability to stay consistently healthy, writing that McCarthy is a "better, younger and more durable quarterback than Murray right now."
That's high praise for a quarterback most consider a distant No. 4 at his position, but McCarthy's stock is clearly on the rise as we head into next month's draft.
