NFL Rumors: Bucs Open to Trading Starting CBs Carlton Davis III or Jamel Dean
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly open to trading either of their starting cornerbacks, Carlton Davis III or Jamel Dean, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
"Teams have also told me that the Buccaneers are open to potentially parting with either of their starting corners, Carlton Davis III or Jamel Dean," Fowler wrote.
Davis, 27, had 52 tackles, nine passes defended and a pair of interceptions last season in 12 games. He missed a handful of games with a plethora of injuries, marking the third straight season he has missed three or more games.

Davis, who has been with the Bucs since he was drafted in 2018, is entering the final year of a three-year, $44.5 million contract in 2024.
Dean, who was drafted by Tampa Bay in 2019, had 61 tackles and four passes defended in 13 games last season. The 2023 season was one of the most successful years of his career despite missing four games.
Last March, Dean signed a four-year, $52 million contract with Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers are coming off a somewhat successful 9-8 season that saw them finish first in the NFC South and reach the divisional round, where they lost to the Detroit Lions. Tampa Bay is looking for more improvement next year, and making some trades in the offseason could help it progress.
