Video: Chiefs' Travis Kelce Discusses Bad Cowboys Meeting at Combine amid 'Red Flag'
Travis Kelce revealed Wednesday during the New Heights podcast that the Dallas Cowboys pressed him about his yearlong suspension in 2010 for testing positive for marijuana while interviewing him at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Kelce said he was a bit miffed by the line of questioning and essentially told the team they were free to go in a different direction at the draft, which they did:

It's worked out just fine for Kelce, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and has gone on to win three Super Bowl titles, earn four first-team All-Pro honors and nine Pro Bowls selections in a Hall of Fame-worthy career.
And the Cowboys ended up drafting tight end Gavin Escobar in the second round, who played five seasons in the league and caught 30 passes for 333 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.
In total, four tight ends went ahead of Kelce in that draft: Tyler Eifert (No. 21 overall), Zach Ertz (No. 35), Escobar (No. 47) and Vance McDonald (No. 55).
Ertz has put together an excellent career, primarily for the Philadelphia Eagles, and appeared in three Pro Bowls. Eifert was selected to one Pro Bowl but struggled with injuries and never lived up to his first-round billing.
Kelce may have had some bad combine interviews, but 31 other NFL teams wish they could go back in time and give him a chance.
