Report: Bill Belichick Pursued by Peyton Manning for TV Job; Nick Saban Alt-Cast Eyed
Bill Belichick is poised to sit out the 2024 NFL season, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will be unemployed.
Per The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, Peyton Manning is attempting to add the former New England Patriots head coach to Omaha Productions.
According to Marchand, the hope would be to pair Belichick and Nick Saban in an alternate broadcast.

Saban was hired by ESPN in February after he retired as Alabama's head coach. He will serve as an analyst for College Gameday and appear on various programs across the network.
After parting ways with the Patriots in January, Belichick was initially rumored to be the top candidate for the Atlanta Falcons. He was the first person to have two interviews with the club about becoming their next head coach.
The Falcons wound up hiring Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris as Arthur Smith's replacement.
Belichick didn't interview with any other teams during this hiring cycle. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan reportedly called the legendary head coach about potentially joining his staff as defensive coordinator before they hired Nick Sorensen.
Steve Belichick, Bill's son, recently said on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast (h/t CBS Sports' John Breech) that his dad was "definitely pursuing" different opportunities, including television.
Marchand noted Belichick has talked with executives from CBS and NBC about potentially becoming an analyst, but he "has made it known he is uninterested in being part of a weekly Sunday studio show" in those meetings.
Manning's teams had an intense rivalry with Belichick and the Patriots for years. The five-time NFL MVP went 6-11 in 19 career games against Belichick between the regular season and playoffs.
Since retiring after the 2015 season, Manning has moved into the entertainment industry. He founded Omaha Productions in 2020 and has co-hosted the Manningcast on ESPN2 during the NFL season since 2021.
The production company has also produced several television series' across ESPN platforms, including Peyton's Places and Eli's Places.
