NFL Combine 2024 Results: Highlights, Reaction and Recap from Sunday

Timothy RappMar 3, 2024

The NFL Scouting Combine wrapped on Sunday with the offensive lineman, an exciting culmination for NFL teams given the talent on display.

Despite the talk heading into the draft centering on the top quarterbacks, the strength of this draft is arguably on the offensive line:

And it showed on Sunday.

Many of the top offensive lineman on the B/R NFL Scouting Department's big board—including Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu (No. 5), Notre Dame tackle Joe Alt (No. 6), Washington tackle Troy Fautanu (No. 18) and Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims, among others—showed up and showed out.

Fashanu unfortunately had to deal with a right thigh injury on Sunday, but not before he impressed in the 40-yard dash.

Alt stood out as well and will make a strong case to be the first offensive lineman off the board come April.

One of the big risers at the draft could be Fautanu, who is versatile enough to play guard at the next level if asked to make the change, but sees himself as an offensive tackle.

He certainly showcased the sort of athleticism to back up that belief.

Mims also impressed with his size and athleticism on Sunday, even while dealing with a right hamstring injury.

From a pure athleticism standpoint, nobody put on a show quite like South Dakota State's Garret Greenfield. Take a gander at these ridiculous numbers:

Greenfield didn't crack the top 150 on the B/R NFL Scouting Department's big board back in January, but he certainly turned some heads on Sunday.
