Titans' Ran Carthon 'Open' to Trade Calls for No. 7 Pick in 2024 NFL Draft
The Tennessee Titans have the opportunity to significantly improve their roster with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 NFL draft, but it sounds like the team could use the pick to add even more assets.
Titans general manager Ran Carthon told reporters that while he likes the seventh pick, he's "open" to listening to trade calls.
In its latest mock draft, B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted that Tennessee would select Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with the seventh pick. Interestingly enough, Bowers told NBC Sports' Chris Simms earlier this month that the Titans are the team he's hoping to land with during the draft.

However, Tennessee is coming off another lost season and has multiple holes to fill on its roster, so it makes sense that Carthon is willing to explore all of his options.
The Titans earned the No. 7 pick after finishing with a 6-11 record in 2023 and missing the playoffs for the second straight year. Head coach Mike Vrabel was fired at the end of the season and replaced by former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
In addition to the changes to Tennessee's coaching staff, the team also faces the possibility of losing its longtime face of the franchise. Star running back Derrick Henry is set to become a free agent, and while a return seems unlikely, Poles said the team hasn't ruled out the possibility of re-signing him.
"He knows where we are and we know where he is," Carthon said. "We'll be well positioned to do whatever we need to do. When those conversations need to be had, we'll have them with Derrick and his team."
It's clear that Carthon has a lot on his plate this offseason, and his decisions will have significant ramifications on the Titans' future.
