NFL Rumors: Caleb Williams Doesn't Plan to Hire Agent Prior to 2024 Draft
Former USC quarterback Caleb Williams will enter the 2024 NFL draft without representation.
Williams has not hired an agent and doesn't intend to do so leading up to this year's draft, where he is expected to be the first quarterback off the board, according to ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio.
Players representing themselves appears to be becoming more common in the modern NFL.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson does not have an agent and negotiated a five-year, $260 million deal with the franchise in April 2023. The contract made him the highest-paid player in the league at the time.
Veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner also negotiated his five-year, $50 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams ahead of the 2022 season before the two sides mutually agreed to part ways after one season and he signed a one-year, $7 million agreement to return to the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the 2023 campaign.
Other NFL players to have represented themselves in contract negotiations over the years include Deandre Hopkins, Richard Sherman, Jacoby Brissett and Laremy Tunsil.
Williams is arguably the best quarterback available in the 2024 draft class following a standout career at USC that saw him win the 2022 Heisman after completing 66.6 percent of his passes 4,537 yards and 42 touchdowns against five interceptions in 14 games, in addition to rushing for 382 yards and 10 scores.
The 22-year-old is coming off a down year by his standards as the Trojans struggled to an 8-5 record. That said, his numbers were still impressive. He completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns against five interceptions in 12 games, in addition to rushing for 142 yards and 11 scores.
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department lists Williams as the second-best quarterback available in this year's class. UNC's Drake Maye is the only player above him on the list, and the likes of Michigan's J.J. McCarthy and LSU's Jayden Daniels remain in the top five.
While Williams won't hire any representation leading into the draft, it's unclear if he will decide to do so after he's selected. Rookie salaries are set when a player gets drafted, but they can still negotiate some terms in their deals.
