WWE heads to Perth, Australia on Saturday for Elimination Chamber, the final premium live event before the company turns its full attention to WrestleMania 40.

Championships will be decided but in the show's two namesake matches, top contenders to the World Heavyweight Championship and Women's World Championship will be decided.

Six men and six women will battle for the right to head to Philadelphia on April 6-7 and challenge for the top prize in their respective divisions.

Who are the contestants in those high-stakes battles? More importantly, what is the case for each of their potential victories?

Making the Case: Men's Elimination Chamber Match

2 of 3

Kevin Owens

Owens is perpetually over, a Superstar who has built up equity with the audience and can walk into any situation or scenario and instantly be taken seriously as a contender or champion.

He's a great worker who can adapt to any style or opponent, and he has battled every major star during his tenure with WWE, including a WrestleMania 38 match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

KO has established history with Rollins, which means crafting a story between them would be relatively easy.

Bobby Lashley

The All Mighty is a two-time WWE champion and over with every audience at this point in his career.

He missed out on WrestleMania 39, bar a brief cameo as the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner.

Lashley is a perennial contender, and a match with Rollins would give him the high-profile bout on The Showcase of the Immortals he has earned and did not receive a year ago.

Randy Orton

Orton returned at Survivor Series in November after a year and a half away due to injury, and he remains a fixture in the main event scene on SmackDown.

He's a future WWE Hall of Famer and has lost none of the momentum that accompanied his comeback.

Like Owens, he has WrestleMania history with Rollins, defeating The Visionary with one of the most jaw-dropping RKOs ever in 2015.

It may be more difficult to spin a story given the length of time between their matches, but no one would question whether Orton is believable in the role of challenger.

Drew McIntyre

McIntyre is the hottest heel on the Raw brand, and he's doing some of his best character and promo work ever. He's also as good an internet troll as anyone in WWE.

He also has momentum on his side as the villain who gleefully claims to have injured CM Punk, and whose victories over Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes in recent weeks have set him on a path toward The Showcase of the Immortals.

That he has ongoing issues with Rollins makes him the most logical and likely victor on Saturday.

Logan Paul

Paul rebounded from last year's loss to Rollins on the grandest stage by winning the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel and defeating The Miz to cash his ticket to Elimination Chamber.

Even with the success he has achieved since his loss to the world heavyweight champion, he has repeatedly cited his desire to get back to WrestleMania and defeat Rollins as his motivation entering Saturday's match.

The unsettled issues that apparently exist make up the case for The Maverick.

LA Knight

Knight's popularity is rivaled only by Orton's, a testament to the manner in which he got himself over after the Maximum Male Models failure and remained over. He is greeted by some of the loudest ovations in any arena, and fans genuinely want to see him win.

That was never more evident than the support he had at Crown Jewel and the Royal Rumble, where he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Booking him to go over and challenge Rollins at WrestleMania may not present the most ready-made storyline, but the anticipation for a match between two of the most over stars in the industry would help carry it.

Making the Case: Women's Elimination Chamber Match

3 of 3

Liv Morgan

From a storyline perspective, no other competitor in Saturday's match makes as much sense to win the women's Elimination Chamber as Morgan.

She was injured by Rhea Ripley and forced to vacate the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship and then missed six months of action. She has motivation, an established story and is a popular member of the main roster.

Morgan could easily win and roll into WrestleMania with an intensely personal story to tell, against a fellow NXT export who has had similar main roster success.

Raquel Rodriguez

Rodriguez returned from injury Monday night to win a Battle Royal that cashed her ticket to Perth. And while she may not have much in the way of a story behind her run to the Chamber, she does have history with Ripley, both as friends and opponents.

She is also the only woman in the field who can match size and power of The Eradicator.

Booking Rodriguez to go over would set up a physical battle for the Women's World Championship in Philadelphia, if nothing else.

Naomi

The former SmackDown women's champion made an emotional return to WWE at the Royal Rumble and she says she has not come back to the company merely to be there.

She has goals and aspirations that include regaining championship gold.

Naomi has little history with Ripley, outside of besting her in a Women's Tag Team Championship match two years ago. A fresh rivalry, involving a ferocious champion and a challenger who is better than she has ever been, is no bad thing for the biggest show of the year.

Becky Lynch

Lynch has been teasing a showdown with Ripley for over a year now, with their tense staredowns and brief altercations backstage giving fans hope they would see The Man vs. Mami at some point in the future.

That point appears to be drawing near as they have engaged in promos and encountered a common enemy in Nia Jax.

It is always possible WWE Creative may swerve the audience, but Lynch is the obvious winner of this match, an outcome that would set up a dream showdown.

Bianca Belair

Like Lynch, Belair has had her fair share of brief interactions with Ripley, hinting at a future showdown between them. The latest was a year ago, though, and there has been little buzz about a showdown between them.

That does not mean there is no foundation for a match.

Belair and Ripley helped define each other's NXT careers, and they will be co-cover stars for the deluxe edition of WWE 2K24 in April. They have history, are both incredibly popular among fans, and a showdown on that stage would announce to the WWE Universe that they are the faces of the present and the future of women's wrestling.

Belair also has an unbeaten WrestleMania streak the match could be built around.

Tiffany Stratton

Could it be Tiffy Time in Perth?

While Stratton is the biggest underdog in Saturday's match, she has risen to prominence over the last six months and proved herself against the best in the industry, including Lynch.

She has the tools to win, her potential is limitless, and fans react to her athleticism and egotistical persona.

A heel vs. heel match is not typically a direction WWE goes in, especially for 'Mania, but the dynamic of the badass Ripley vs. the princess Stratton is one fans could easily get behind.
