Saints' Jimmy Graham Will Row Across Arctic Ocean as Part of 2025 Arctic Challenge
New Orleans Saints veteran tight end Jimmy Graham will be undertaking a unique endeavor.
Per Saints reporter Justin Vlosich, Graham announced Monday that he will be participating in the 2025 Arctic Challenge. He will be a part of a four-person team rowing 1,000 kilometers across the Arctic Ocean for roughly 15 days straight in pursuit of a Guinness World Record and looking to raise money for charity.

The Arctic Challenge has partnered with three charities for the event: Covenant House, the Jimmy Graham Foundation and Laureus Sport for Good USA.
Graham won't simply be along for the ride, as Vlosich noted that he will be the mission's lead navigator. He will be joined by former Navy SEAL Andrew Tropp, former member of Team USA's rowing team and New Orleans native Hannah Huppi, and former rower for Team USA and Team Switzerland John Huppi. Tropp will serve as captain while Hannah Huppi will be the project manager and John Huppi will be the equipment manager.
If the mission is successful, the group will officially own the Guinness World Record for the first mixed-gendered team to row the Arctic Ocean. They are also aiming to become the first American team to row across a polar ocean.
If they complete the row in under 15 days, five hours and 32 minutes, they will break Ocean Revival's 2023 record for the fastest four-person team to row across the Arctic Ocean.
Graham is no stranger to off-field adventures. Vlosich noted that the 37-year-old earned his private pilot's license in 2011 before going on to add complex airplane, instrument airplane, tailwheel, multi-engine airplane, seaplane, commercial single-engine, commercial multiengine, helicopter, instrument helicopter and commercial helicopter certifications.
Graham played the 2023 season on a one-year deal and scored four touchdowns while appearing in 13 games. His future in the NFL is unclear and retirement could be on the horizon, as he said goodbye to the city of New Orleans in a social media post after the season ended.
