Suns' Kevin Durant Features on Stalley's 'Scared Money' Track, Appears in Music Video
Kevin Durant proved that his talent reaches much farther than the basketball court, as the Phoenix Suns' forward dropped a feature verse in rapper Stalley's new song "Scared Money."
Durant also made an appearance in the song's music video, which premiered on Friday.
According to TMZ, Durant joined Stalley in New York a few weeks ago to film the video after he recorded the song with Stalley last summer. TMZ also reported that Durant reached out to Stalley to send him a beat, and Durant then recorded his verse.
The song will be featured on Stalley's upcoming album, "Peerless," which will be released in March.
Durant is one of a handful of NBA players who have had side careers in music. NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal had a handful of songs in the early 90s, setting the stage for more NBA stars-turned-rappers to come.
One of the most notable rappers in the NBA is Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard, who has released a handful of albums over the past few years under the name Dame D.O.L.L.A. In September following his trade to the Bucks from the Portland Trail Blazers, Lillard took to the microphone to bid farewell to his former team.
