Cowboys' Micah Parsons Calls out Super Bowl Officiating: NFL Is 'Ruining Defense'

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers put together an instant classic in Super Bowl LVIII that ended with a 25-22 overtime win by the Chiefs, but a star defensive player wasn't happy with what he saw in the game.

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons took to social media on Monday to express his displeasure with the officiating in Sunday's game, saying he believes the NFL is "ruining defense."

It's unclear exactly what prompted Parsons' condemnation of the officiating in the Super Bowl. There weren't any glaring missteps on Sunday by the officials that we've seen in other big moments.

Of course, 49ers fans might think differently since their team was on the losing end. However, both Kansas City and San Francisco were called for six penalties apiece.

As the NFL transitions to the offseason, it will be interesting to see how the league addresses the ongoing dissatisfaction with officiating.
