Kyle Shanahan 'Pleased' with 49ers' 1st Practice on UNLV Field Following NFL Rumors
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan didn't have any complaints about UNLV's field after his team's first full day of practice ahead of Super Bowl 58.
In a pool report with Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, Shanahan was pleased with how his team looked after a 90-minute practice session on Wednesday.
"I'm glad to finally get out here," he said. "We got here Sunday, but it feels like we've already been out here a week."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
There was concern from 49ers staffers earlier this week about the conditions of the field at UNLV where the NFL set them up to practice.
Per CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, a 49ers advance group that includes members of the equipment staff and grounds felt the grass was "too soft for the team to practice on" when they checked out the facilities last week.
UNLV's practice facility has an artificial turf surface, but the NFL installed a grass surface on top of it this week for the 49ers to use.
ESPN's Adam Schefter noted the averaged hardness score for an NFL field is 78 and no field is less than 70, but the UNLV practice field had a hardness score "somewhere in the 50s."
During his annual state of the NFL press conference, commissioner Roger Goodell said the field was unanimously approved by 23 different experts.
Shanahan told reporters on Monday "is what it is" regarding the field conditions, but "we're good."
The 49ers have two more practices on Thursday and Friday. They will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 58 on Sunday.
