Ravens' Lamar Jackson Says He Used 'A Lotta Cursing at Halftime' of Win vs. Texans
The Baltimore Ravens are on to the AFC Championship and some heated motivation from quarterback Lamar Jackson may have been the spark the team needed.
After earning a bye to the Divisional Round, Baltimore entered halftime with a tied score against the fourth-seeded Houston Texans. The Ravens then would hang up 24 unanswered points en route to a dominant 34-10 victory and are advancing to the Conference Championship for the first time since 2012.
When asked about what was said to help turn the tide in the second half, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson acknowledged that it may not be appropriate to a wide audience, as he resorted to "a lot of cursing" in order to fire his team up.

Every Team's Ideal 1st-Round Pick 👌
"It would be inappropriate if I said it right here," Jackson said. "We weren't doing our job with our unit. In the second half, we wanted to put points on the board, start moving the ball, moving the chains and start looking like ourselves."
The Ravens entered the game as a true contender to reach the Super Bowl but also a team with a lot to prove. This was the second No. 1 seed Baltimore had earned with Jackson under center and the fourth time the franchise had qualified for the postseason with him at quarterback. However, his postseason record was 1-3 before the game and the Divisional Round was the peak of the team's postseason success.
With a tied game at halftime, it looked like the playoff struggles could continue. Instead, Jackson and the Ravens blew the doors off the Texans and showed that the team is capable of getting it done in crunch time.
Jackson was 16-of-22 with two touchdowns in the passing game while also contributing 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. It was a defining game for Jackson, who certainly could add an MVP trophy from this season, and Baltimore look like a formidable force going forward.
