NFL Rumors: Insiders Believe Bill Belichick Will 'Probably' Get Falcons' HC Job
After completing his second interview with the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, the stage appears to be set for Bill Belichick to be their next head coach.
On the Saturday morning SportsCenter, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported people involved in the Falcons' search believe Belichick is "probably" going to be the pick for owner Arthur Blank.
"I've talked to people even involved in the search who have interviewed with Atlanta who believe that he's probably going to get this job," Fowler said. "Keep in mind, the belief from the people I've talked to is that this is his sole option right now. It's not like he's interviewing for other jobs. I haven't heard of him in the mix for any of these other opportunities."

Belichick has been heavily connected to the Falcons since he parted ways with the New England Patriots on Jan. 11.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Belichick is considered the top candidate for the job and he was flown into Atlanta on one of Blank's private jets on Thursday for a face-to-face dinner and more meetings still to come.
Belichick is the only person the Falcons have interviewed twice so far. They have a second interview set up with Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for next week, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Other candidates they have interviewed include Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald and Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
Atlanta's job came open on Jan. 8 when Arthur Smith was fired after going 7-10 for the third consecutive season.
Despite the struggles to get over the hump under Smith, there's a lot of intriguing talent on the Falcons' roster for the next coach to work with. Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan Robinson are all between 21-23 years old.
Blank and the Falcons appear to be setting their sights very high on a finding a new head coach this time around. Harbaugh is coming off a 15-0 season and a national title at Michigan.
Belichick is arguably the best coach in NFL history with six Super Bowl titles during his 24 seasons with the Patriots. His 333 career wins between the regular season and playoffs are 14 behind Don Shula for the most in NFL history.
