3 Players Packers Must Target in Offseason to Maximize Jordan Love's Potential
The Green Bay Packers built a nice foundation around quarterback Jordan Love with a bunch of young players.
But the Packers lack superstar talent at wide receiver and that could be the difference-maker in any potential playoff matchups the team faces.
Green Bay needs to be aggressive in the offseason at the offensive skill positions to ensure Love has the best set of players around him to go after the NFC North.
The Packers also have a key decision of their own to make in free agency, as running back A.J. Dillon is set to hit the market.
Green Bay may use the NFL draft to bolster the running back depth behind Aaron Jones, if Dillon leaves, or it could look into the free-agent market for a more explosive playmaker.
Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins would be the perfect No. 1 wide receiver for the Packers to land.
Higgins has been the No. 2 to Ja'Marr Chase in Cincinnati for all of his NFL career, but it seems unlikely that the Bengals can afford to give him a massive contract.
The 24-year-old's price might have increased a bit after his heroics on Saturday that allowed the Bengals to force overtime against the Minnesota Vikings.
Higgins' play with Chase out injured on Saturday, and in the coming weeks, could solidify his position as the top pass-catcher on the free-agent market.
The Packers have a handful of nice young wide receivers, but none of them have developed into a superstar yet.
They need one of the league's best wide outs to compete with the other three NFC North teams, all of whom have a superstar at the position in Amon-Ra St. Brown, Justin Jefferson and D.J. Moore.
A combination of Higgins, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed would be a great unit for Love to work with it would allow him to take the next step as an NFL quarterback.
Gabe Davis

Gabe Davis would be the Packers' receiving yards leader with his 2023 total despite not gaining a yard in three of the last four games.
Davis, who has 595 yards this season, could be poised to take the step up from supporting Stefon Diggs to No. 1 wide receiver.
The 24-year-old may not have the best regular season going at the moment, but his postseason performances could make him more valuable to certain teams.
Davis turned in a 100-yard game last season against the Miami Dolphins and had 201 receiving yards versus the Kansas City Chiefs two years ago in the divisional-round thriller.
Davis has the potential to be a No. 1 target, but he needs to be a more consistent pass-catcher in December and January to bolster his free-agent stock.
The Packers may not want him to produce at a high rate, if they love him, because those performances would drive his price up.
Regardless, the Packers should have their eyes on players in the mold of Davis and Higgins who can be the No. 1 wide out for a long time and grow alongside Love and the other wide receivers already on the roster.
Antonio Gibson

Antonio Gibson has flown under the radar of most NFL fans during his four-year career.
The 25-year-old turned himself into a valuable third-down back for the Washington Commanders and he could be one of the coveted second-tier running backs on the free-agent market.
Washington may be willing to not re-sign Gibson because it has Brian Robinson and Chris Rodriguez already on its roster and it can't afford to spend more money on a running back when it needs to improve in all areas of the roster.
Green Bay could swap Dillon for Gibson in free agency to have a true third-down back support Aaron Jones.
Gibson caught over 40 passes in each of the last three seasons and he has a 1,000-yard rushing season on his resume from 2021.
He would signed to primarily thrive in the passing game, but Gibson could also fill in for Jones when necessary and not allow the Packers offense to miss a beat.
