Michigan Football Recruiting 2023: Jim Harbaugh's Top Commits Landed and Predictions
The Michigan Wolverines will attempt to win a national championship in two weeks in the College Football Playoff, hoping to cap off a Big Ten title and undefeated season with the ultimate prize.
But the college football landscape never rests, and there's always the next season to consider. That's why we'll be keeping track of the team's top commits for the 2024 recruiting cycle below, along with making predictions for remaining players they may yet lure to the Big House.
Top Commitments
1 of 2
The Wolverines haven't been able to land any 5-star recruits in the Class of 2024, but they've been all over the 4-stars, landing 17 of them to date.
Thus far, offensive tackle Andrew Sprague is the only player ranked inside the top 100 of 247Sports' Composite Rankings, though Michigan likely isn't done adding to this class.
The other 4-stars include: quarterback Jadyn Davis; running back Jordan Marshall; tight ends Hogan Hansen and Brady Prieskorn; cornerback Jo'Ziah Edmond; edge-rushers Devon Baxter and Owen Wafle; tackles Blake Frazier and Luke Hamilton; linebacker Jeremiah Beasley; athletes Jacob Oden, Mason Curtis and Jaden Smith; wideouts Channing Goodwin and I'Marion Stewart; and defensive lineman Ted Hammond.
Predictions

The Wolverines are likely still in the mix for several recruits, though one stands above the pack.
Gatlin Bair, a 4-star wideout and the No. 43 player in the Class of 2024, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, has been linked to the Wolverines since decommitting from Boise State and visiting Michigan.
He said in his decommitment announcement that he was focusing on Michigan and Oregon:
Expect him to end up in Ann Arbor, though Wolverines' fans shouldn't expect to see him anytime soon—Bair plans to go on a two-year mission trip after graduating high school, meaning he likely wouldn't play for the team until the 2026 season.
When he does suit up for the Wolverines though, fireworks should ensue. He's blazing fast, having run a 10.18-second 100-meter dash as a junior, a tenth of a second faster than the 10.19 Tyreek Hill ran in high school.
Expecting Bair to be Hill is hardly fair, but he certainly has similar wheels.
