Eagles vs. Cowboys Picks, Lineup Tips for Daily Fantasy DraftKings for SNF
The Week 14 Sunday nightcap is set to be one of the best of the 2023 season thus far. The 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles will visit the 9-3 Dallas Cowboys in a game that could have huge implications in the NFC playoff race.
Philly won the first matchup and has a better conference record than Dallas—that Week 3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals looms large—so the Eagles would still lead the NFC East race with a defeat. However, the 9-3 San Francisco 49ers have beaten both teams and would steal the take over the No. 1 seed if they beat the Seattle Seahawks.
There's plenty at stake in this one and plenty of reasons for fans to remain engaged. That doesn't mean, however, that they can't make things a little more interesting with some daily fantasy sports (DFS) action.
Let's dive into the matchups and some DFS tips for Sunday Night Football.

General DFS Tips for SNF
1 of 3
Our biggest piece of advice for this week is that it's probably safe to load up on Eagles and Cowboys players in Sunday matchups. These two teams feature some of the top fantasy performers at their respective positions while featuring good, not great defenses.
At quarterback, Dallas' Dak Prescott ($7.4K) is probably the safer pick. While Jalen Hurts ($8.2K) has a high floor thanks to his scrambling ability, Prescott has been lights out at home recently and has the better matchup.
Prescott has thrown 15 touchdown passes in his last four home starts, while the Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Dallas is tied for the 14th-fewest fantasy points allowed to signal-callers.
While the Cowboys defense did struggle against the Seattle Seahawks last Thursday, fans shouldn't expect a repeat. Given the value difference, Prescott is the quarterback to target here.
Cowboys running back Tony Pollard ($7.0) is the top running back to target in this matchup because of his point-per-reception (PPR) floor. While Pollard has split carries with Rico Dowdle ($4.7K), he's also been heavily involved in the passing game. He has 42 catches on the season and nine over the last two weeks.
Philly's D'Andrw Swift ($6.3K) is a little less enticing because he's been less involved in the passing game recently. He had three catches over his last two games for only 11 yards.
In week-long games, though, both Pollard and Swift can be avoided. Both play prominent roles, but there are far better matchups to be found. The Eagles and Cowboys have allowed the fewest and fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.
Tight end Dallas Goedert ($4.8K) is expected to make his return against Dallas, and he should be a better play than Dallas' Jake Ferguson ($4.4K) just because of his value to the offense.
Goedert has missed the last three games with a forearm injury, and the offense hasn't been the same without him.
"When you have a guy that's as consistent as Dallas Goedert, you miss him," Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata said, per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Consider a CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks Stack
2 of 3
Dallas' CeeDee Lamb is the priciest wide receiver in this matchup at $9,000, and it's not hard to understand why. He's topped 100 receiving yards in five of his last seven games and has found the end zone in four straight.
However, Lamb is also likely to draw a ton of defensive attention from Philadelphia. While that might not be enough to limit him—he had 191 yards in the first meeting—that should open up opportunities for No. 2 receiver Brandin Cooks ($5.0K).
Cooks had just one catch for seven yards the first time these two teams faced off, but he exploded with 173 yards in his next game and has remained a big part of the passing game plan since.
Given Cooks' value price point, it's worth considering a stack of the two Cowboys receivers. The Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wideouts, meaning, as a tandem, Lamb and Cooks are poised to shine.
Don't Sleep on DeVonta Smith
3 of 3
A.J. Brown ($8.7K) is Philadelphia's top receiver and the second-priciest wideout in this matchup. He should carry a strong PPR floor, but managers should consider the upside of No. 2 wideout DeVonta Smith ($7.4K).
Smith's combination of speed and precise route-running makes him a difficult receiver to defend, and Dallas had some issues corralling him in the first meeting. The 25-year-old only caught three passes but produced 51 yards and a touchdown.
It's also worth noting that the Cowboys secondary struggled with the speed of DK Metcalf last week, and he finished with a whopping 134 yards and three touchdowns on six receptions.
Expect the Eagles to seek similar chunk plays by using Smith's downfield ability. While Brown is certainly a start-worthy option, Smith's price point makes him a bigger potential value.
That's an important distinction considering Dallas, which has allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to receivers, doesn't represent an ideal matchup for either player.
