Seahawks vs. Cowboys Picks, Lineup Tips for Daily Fantasy DraftKings for TNF
The Dallas Cowboys will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night. It's a game that heralds both the start of Week 13 and the return of daily fantasy sports (DFS) action following the mid-week layoff.
Managers looking to participate in Thursday-only games or hoping to get a strong start to Week 13 will have a few intriguing fantasy options to consider. Both teams are in the NFC playoff hunt, and both feature start-worthy DFS options.
Below, you'll find some general DFS tips for Thursday's matchup, along with a couple of our favorite plays.

General DFS Tips for TNF
1 of 3
This week, our advice is to lean into the Cowboys for Thursday-only plays. While Dallas hasn't proven itself to be an elite team just yet, both Dak Prescott ($7.2K) and the Cowboys defense ($3.8K) have performed better at home.
Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith ($5.4K) is typically a fine budget starter. While he's been dealing with an elbow issue, since Seattle played last Thursday, he's had a full week of rest.
"To have two days to be able to rest and recover and work on my body was pretty good," Smith said, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
However, Dallas ranks fourth in net yards per pass attempt allowed and second in passing yards allowed. Even if Smith is at or close to 100 percent, he's a risky play this week. Prescott has thrown four touchdown passes in each of his last three home games and is the easy QB pick here.
The normally trustworthy CeeDee Lamb also carries a bit of risk. Though he's found the end zone in each of his last three games, he's also failed to reach 55 receiving yards in the last two. On Thursday, he'll likely see a heavy dose of Seahawks rookie corner Devon Witherspoon, which could cause Prescott to regularly seek other outlets.
Lamb is awesome, but there's a boom-or-bust factor against Seattle, and he's the priciest player in the matchup at $8,900.
At $6,500, Seahawks receiver DK Metcalf provides just a little bit more value as a WR1.
Neither Noah Fant ($2.7K) nor Jake Ferguson ($4.0K) is a truly reliable DFS tight end, but Ferguson has been the more productive of the two recently. There's little reason to turn away from Ferguson at the position.
Trust Zach Charbonnet as RB2
2 of 3
Cowboys running back Tony Pollard ($6.8K) should be RB1 in Thursday-only matchups. He continues to lead Dallas' backfield, and he'll be battling a Seahawks defense ranked 20th in yards per rush allowed.
While Cowboys backup Rico Dowdle ($4.8K) is a tempting budget play, managers should trust Seattle's Zach Charbonnet ($5.3K) as RB2 instead.
Kenneth Walker III continues to battle an oblique injury and is unlikely to play. While Charbonnet didn't have eye-popping numbers in last week's start (58 scrimmage yards), he did have four receptions.
Against an aggressive Cowboys defense, Charbonnet could have even more receiving opportunities, as Seattle looks to counter the pass rush with screens and short passes. Charbonnet is unlikely to approach 100 rushing yards, but he could easily have a half-dozen catches or more.
Based on his point-per-reception (PPR) upside, Charbonnet is worth the start over the similarly-priced Dowdle.
Target Brandin Cooks for Value
3 of 3
At just $4,900, Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks projects as a strong value play for both Thursday-only and week-long DFS games. He's come around as Dallas' No. 2 target over the past few weeks, and he's accumulated 288 yards and two touchdowns over his last three games.
Lamb is likely to draw most of Seattle's defensive attention and will likely be shadowed by Witherspoon on the perimeter and Riq Woolen in the slot. That should lead to some favorable matchups for Cooks—and Prescott has not been afraid to take advantage when Cooks is open.
Cooks has had at least three receptions and 42 yards in each of his last three games, and he's been targeted 19 times during that span. He's also topped 70 receiving yards and scored in two of his last three outings.
Seattle's Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($4.0K) is another viable value play in the flex. While he lacks Cooks' upside, he's had at least two catches and 40 yards in four straight games, giving him a solid floor.
