Heisman 2023 Odds: Tips on the Favorites and Best Values for Week 14
The 2023 Heisman Trophy comes down to the Pac-12 Championship Game.
Oregon Ducks quarterback Bo Nix and Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will go head to head in Las Vegas on Friday night for the second time this season.
Penix won the first battle between Pac-12 foes, but Nix comes into Allegiant Stadium as the Heisman favorite.
Penix enters Friday as a significant underdog on the Heisman odds board behind Nix and LSU Tigers quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Daniels played his last game before Heisman voting concludes on Saturday, so his statistics are final.
Nix, Penix and Daniels will likely receive the bulk of the first-place votes, but a handful of players have a chance to make their cases as Heisman finalists during conference championship weekend.

Favorites

The Pac-12 Championship Game is the most consequential game to the Heisman Trophy race.
Nix can confirm his status as Heisman favorite with a win, or Penix can make a last-minute push for first-place votes in the national spotlight.
Nix comes into Friday with four straight 350-yard passing performances and 16 touchdown passes in that span.
The Oregon quarterback has 3,906 passing yards, 37 passing touchdowns and just two interceptions.
If he produces another stellar showing and avenges his only loss to Washington, he could lock up the Heisman.
Penix threw multiple touchdowns in each of his last five games, but he only eclipsed the 300-yard mark twice in that span, which puts him at a disadvantage compared to Nix's recent form.
Daniels finished his regular season with 3,812 passing yards, 1,134 rushing yards and 50 total touchdowns.
The LSU quarterback had a marvelous season, but not playing for a conference title could hurt him in comparison to the pair of Pac-12 quarterbacks.
Best Values
3 of 3
It is difficult to make a case for anyone other than Nix, Penix or Daniels to win the Heisman.
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe has the best long-shot case to make because of his matchup with the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.
Milroe could produce the best performance of his Alabama career to upset the two-time reigning national champion in the SEC Championship Game.
He already has a signature moment from his game-winning touchdown pass against the Auburn Tigers and would have a defining win on his resume if he takes down Georgia.
Milroe's complete resume is not as robust as Nix, Penix or Daniels, but he still had a solid season with 2,526 passing yards and 33 total touchdowns.
Milroe could earn some second-or-third-place votes on Saturday, but if anything, he could use the SEC Championship Game as a chance to set himself up for a 2024 Heisman campaign.
