Bowl Games Schedule 2023-24: Dates, Times and Best Potential CFP Matchups
For some college football fans, the best part of the season is merely a few weeks away.
Conference championships are on the horizon, and the stakes couldn't be much higher. All but one of the Power Five title games carry College Football Playoff implications, and even the Big 12 champion could have an outside shot if Texas wins and the right results fall its way.
Once the dust settles Saturday, the semifinal field should be relatively clear, and the rest of the dominoes will fall from there.
Here's this year's full bowl schedule and a quick look at how the playoff could look.

It only takes one outcome for the chaos to begin.
If Alabama were to beat Georgia, then the selection committee could be faced with the dilemma of overlooking an SEC champion Crimson Tide or catapulting them ahead of Texas despite suffering a head-to-head loss earlier in the year.
Florida State presents an interesting situation as well given the season-ending injury to Jordan Travis. How much will the committee weigh the Seminoles résumé — assuming FSU is 13-0 — against how they might fare in the semifinals without Travis?
In a scenario where Georgia, Washington and Florida State all win, perhaps the committee would even weigh inserting Ohio State alongside a Big Ten champion Michigan if the 'Noles were that uninspiring against Louisville in the ACC championship.
Unless you're a total anarchist, there's clearly an optimal playoff field.
Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida State have been four of the five best teams in the country from start to finish, and each has passed some big tests. Assuming they get the job done Saturday, they've each more than earned the right to compete for a national title.
