NFL Week 11 DFS: Cheap Targets and Pricey Fades on DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football

Kristopher KnoxNov 18, 2023

Week 11 got off to a rousing start with Thursday night's matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. It was a bit of a lopsided contest, but it did feature a few big fantasy performances.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns while racking up 54 yards on the ground. Bengals running back Joe Mixon finished with five receptions, 100 scrimmage yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy enthusiasts are likely looking for a few more solid daily fantasy sports (DFS) options heading into the weekend. Below, we'll dive into a few of our favorite potential value plays and some pricey options that might not be worth the risk.

Quarterback

1 of 4
Packers QB Jordan Love
Packers QB Jordan Love

Target: Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers, $5,600

While Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been anything but a dependable DFS option this season, he's had the occasional good game. While he had two interceptions against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, for example, he also finished with 289 passing yards, two touchdowns and 11 rushing yards.

This week, Love projects as a decent budget option at QB. He'll need to avoid turnovers, of course, but he has arguably the top option of the week.

The Los Angeles Chargers are likely to score plenty—given their offensive cache of playmakers—which could leave Green Bay in comeback mode. The Chargers have also allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season.

Fade: Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys, $7,300

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott should have a solid game against the Carolina Panthers this week. However, it's a bit risky at this price point. Prescott threw for 404 yards and four touchdowns last week against the rival New York Giants, but Dallas may not be quite as motivated to embarrass the rudderless Panthers.

The Cowboys are likely to test a bad Panthers run defense early and often, and there's a good chance that Prescott is pulled in the second half, as he was against New York.

Toss in the fact that Carolina has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and Prescott just doesn't provide a ton of value this week.

Running Back

Texans RB Devin Singletary
Texans RB Devin Singletary

Target: Devin Singletary, Houston Texans, $5,300

Houston Texans running back Devin Singletary does project as an extremely valuable play in Week 11. He's supplanted Dameon Pierce—who is out this week with an ankle injury anyway—as Houston's top option, and he's coming off a 150-yard rushing game against Cincinnati.

This week, Singletary has another favorable matchup. The Texans host the Arizona Cardinals, who have been quite vulnerable to the run in 2023.

Arizona has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Last week, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson gouged the Cardinals for 106 scrimmage yards and a touchdown.

Fade: Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs, $6,300

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco has been a decent DFS option because of his involvement in the passing game. The 24-year-old has 24 receptions this season to go with 685 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles present a daunting matchup for the Chiefs, one that Andy Reid is likely to attack through the air. Philly's secondary has been suspect, and it has been particularly inconsistent against opposing tight ends—which is great for managers targeting Travis Kelce.

While Pacheco has a manageable PPR floor, don't expect him to go off against an Eagles defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs.

Wide Receiver

3 of 4
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice

Target: Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs, $5,300

With the Chiefs likely to test Philadelphia's secondary early and often, Rachee Rice projects as a fine sleeper play.

The rookie wideout has emerged as one of Patrick Mahomes' top targets, and he currently ranks second on the team in receiving yards. He's also tied with Kelce with a team-high four touchdown catches.

The Eagles have struggled mightily against opposing receivers—no team has allowed more fantasy points to the position—and they're likely to place a lot of attention on Kelce. If Kelce is indeed a primary defensive focus for Philadelphia, Rice could be primed to explode.

Fade: Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills, $9,100

Stefon Diggs is never a receiver to be fully ignored, given his high profile in the Buffalo Bills offense. However, he's an extremely risky play at this price point in Week 11.

The New York Jets haven't been great defensively this season, but they've done a fine job against opposing wideouts. No team has allowed fewer fantasy points to the position, and while Diggs topped 100 yards in the first meeting, he isn't matchup-proof.

Last week against the Denver Broncos, Diggs caught a mere three passes for 34 yards on five targets. Diggs could play well, as he did against the Jets in Week 1, but the floor isn't high enough to justify one of the week's highest price tags.

Tight End

4 of 4
Titans TE Chigoziem Okonkwo
Titans TE Chigoziem Okonkwo

Target: Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans, $3,200

There aren't many good reasons to avoid a top tight end like Kelce or T.J. Hockenson this week, but Chigoziem Okonkwo of the Tennessee Titans is on our radar as a potential sleeper play.

Okonkwo hasn't had a breakout game yet this season, but he's maintained a role in Tennessee's passing attack—and that hasn't changed since Will Levis took over under center.

Okonkwo has been targeted 15 times in three games with Levis and has at least three catches in every one of those contests. This week, he'll face a Jacksonville Jaguars defense that has surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

Fade: Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars, $4,300

On the other side of the Titans-Jags matchup, we're down on Jacksonville's Evan Engram.

While Engram remains one of Trevor Lawrence's top targets and has typically provided a solid floor, this isn't an enticing matchup. While the Titans' secondary has been inconsistent, Tennessee has fared well against opposing tight ends.

Only the Cleveland Browns have allowed fewer fantasy points to the position than Tennessee. Engram has been reliable more often than not, but he had a mere 12 yards on four receptions against the San Francisco 49ers last week. He could be in store for another letdown against Tennessee.
