Highly touted quarterback prospect Jaden Rashada announced his commitment to Arizona State on Wednesday's national signing day:

Rashada had signed with Florida in November after agreeing to a name, image and likeness deal with the Gator Collective worth over $13 million. After the deal fell through, he was granted his release from his letter of intent last month.

The 4-star prospect is the seventh-best quarterback in the 2023 class and the No. 82 prospect overall, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

At 6'4", 175 pounds, Rashada has good size for the position, and he showed impressive dual-threat ability at Pittsburg High School in California, totaling 32 passing touchdowns and seven rushing touchdowns in 2022.

The talent caught the eye of top programs, getting scholarship offers from LSU, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oklahoma and more.

Rashada initially committed to Miami before flipping to Florida, but the partnership came to an end after the Gator Collective reportedly failed to honor their four-year agreement with the quarterback.

After the whirlwind of a recruitment process, Rashada found a new home at Arizona State.

The recruit is a legacy of the program after his father, Harlen Rashada, played defensive back for the Sun Devils from 1992 to 1994.

Rashada could see early playing time for a team that went 3-9 last season under Herm Edwards. Neither Trenton Bourguet nor Florida transfer Emory Jones fared well in his efforts to replace Jayden Daniels.

The Sun Devils seek a fresh start under new head coach Kenny Dillingham, the youngest head coach in FBS at age 32, and will have one of the top quarterback talents in the country.
