National Signing Day 2023: Predictions and Rankings for Top Uncommitted Recruits
It hasn't been a full month since Georgia won its second straight College Football Playoff championship with a dominant 65-7 win over TCU, and the sports world has already moved on.
All eyes are on the impending Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
But football is still on the menu, and before the media builds up the anticipation for the NFL's biggest weekend, there will still be some focus on college football because of national signing day on Wednesday.
Most of the nation's biggest recruits have already committed to their schools of choice, but those that still haven't made up their minds have to declare their intentions by tomorrow.
There are only four players in the top 100 of 247Sports' composite rankings that are unsigned.
Here's a last look at three of them and predictions on the program that they might choose.
Jaden Rashada, QB, Pittsburg, CA
1 of 3
Jaden Rashada should already be heading to the University of Florida.
But things fell apart earlier this month between the Gators and Rashada after Eddie Rojas, CEO of the Gator Collective, sent a termination letter regarding the agreed-upon NIL deal exceeding $13 million.
As a result, Florida granted Rashada's request to be released from his national letter of intent on Jan. 20.
Now, the dual-threat quarterback has to make a big decision, and a lot of eyes are on this, not just because he's a blue-chip prospect, but because of what this could mean for the Gators moving forward and the optics of the botched NIL deal.
What's interesting about Rashada, who threw for 3,055 yards and 32 touchdowns as a senior at Pittsburg HS, is that before signing with Florida, he was committed to the University of Miami.
That makes sense because 247Sports' crystal ball has him at 100 percent for signing with the Hurricanes.
But that was likely before all of the Florida NIL drama.
Schools currently in the mix for Rashada's talents are Arizona State, California, TCU and Washington.
He recently visited ASU and TCU, so those two are likely highest on his list, especially the former since his father, Harlen, once played as a defensive back for the program.
Prediction: Rashada signs with ASU
Nyckoles Harbor, Edge, Washington, D.C.
2 of 3
It's been a long wait for Nyckoles Harbor's decision, but for the schools he's considering, it's worth it.
Standing 6'5" and coming in at 225 pounds, Harbor is an elite combination of size, strength and speed.
As an athlete, he's top of 247Sports' composite rankings.
He's listed as an edge and can play tight end, but he's also quite the track star, who has recorded 10.28 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.79 in the 200 meters.
What school wouldn't want a prospect like that?
According to On3's Joseph Hastings, there are five programs that have made it to Harbor's final list: Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, South Carolina and USC.
Nothing has changed on 247Sports' crystal ball prediction for Harbor. It has him at 100 percent to be going to South Carolina.
But there are reports that he's also seriously considering Oregon, a school that he said has the "best of both worlds in terms of football and track."
"The main three factors going into the decision are academics, athletics and track. That's it," Harbor told Hastings.
Prediction: Harbor signs with South Carolina
Duce Robinson, TE, Phoenix
3 of 3
Duce Robinson, who is ranked No. 17 by 247Sports' composite rankings, is the highest-ranked recruit still on the undeclared list.
But the dual-sport athlete is down to four schools: Alabama, USC, Texas and Georgia.
The decorated tight end, who is also equally talented as a baseball prospect, racked up 1.067 yards and 10 touchdowns for Pinnacle HS in Arizona.
There's a lot of buzz about Robinson suiting up for the Longhorns to play with the nation's top quarterback Arch Manning, and that's coming directly from the player himself.
"You know, (Arch and I) just text about life about how we're doing, but, but every once in a while, you know, he'll, he'll just ask me where I'm at in the process," Robinson told Sports Illustrated's Matt Galatzan in December. "But we text consistently probably once or twice a week. Any time we're together, we really enjoy spending time with each other. I think it would be a lot of fun to catch passes from him."
Still, there's a lot of confidence that Georgia is high on his list, especially after winning another national title.
The 247Sports crystal ball has him at 100 percent signing with the Bulldogs, where he'll get a lot of attention.
But there's also the cache of catching passes from the presumptive No. 1 prospect for the NFL in Manning.
That can't be the easiest of decisions to make.
Everyone already knows what kind of arm Manning has. By the end of the day on Wednesday, they'll see what kind of salesman he is, too.
