Report: Mike LaFleur Joins Sean McVay's Rams Coaching Staff as OC After Jets Stint
Two weeks after parting ways with the New York Jets, Mike LaFleur is joining Sean McVay's coaching staff with the Los Angeles Rams.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, LaFleur will be named the Rams offensive coordinator.
LaFleur wasn't exactly made the scapegoat for the Jets offensive shortcomings this season.

Head coach Robert Saleh told reporters when it was announced LaFleur was leaving that the team was receiving "a lot of inquiries" about the 36-year-old and it would "be in everyone's best interest for him to pursue those opportunities."
Saleh brought LaFleur on as his offensive coordinator when he was hired by the Jets in January 2021. The two men spent four seasons working together as assistants for the San Francisco 49ers from 2017 to '20.
The Jets ranked in the bottom five in points scored in each of the past two seasons with Zach Wilson as their primary starting quarterback.
After a brief tease that he might leave the Rams at the end of this season, McVay announced he was returning to the team in 2023 on Jan. 13. His decision to come back did overshadow the number of assistant coaches that had to be replaced.
Per The Athletic's Jordan Rodrigue, eight members of the Rams' 2022 staff are not coming back next season.
Offensive coordinator Liam Coen left the team on Jan. 10 to take the same role at the University of Kentucky. He left the Wildcats after the 2021 season to work alongside McVay.
LaFleur was believed to be the favorite to replace Coen in Los Angeles as soon as he became available. He hasn't worked with McVay, but he's got experience in a similar offense based on his work with 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The Rams' 2022 season was undone by numerous injuries to star players. Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp only combined to play 18 games. Aaron Donald missed the final six games due to an ankle injury. There was a constant turnover on the offensive line.
Los Angeles set a new NFL record for most losses by a defending Super Bowl champion.
