Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury Fight Contract Official; PPV Info, Card Details Announced
Jake Paul and Tommy Fury locked down a date for their long-awaited encounter.
Paul announced Friday he and Fury will face off on Feb. 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
ESPN's Marc Raimondi reported the fight will last eight rounds and have a 185-pound weight limit. The pay-per-view card will include Badou Jack vs. Ilunga Makabu as the co-main event, while Ashton Sylve will oppose Maxwell Awuku.
Paul and Fury were originally slated to cross paths in December 2021.
Fury had to withdraw because of a broken rib and a bacterial chest infection. Paul quickly pivoted to a rematch with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, knocking Woodley out in the sixth round.
Another event headlined by Paul and Fury was arranged last August, only for Fury to be denied entry into the United States leading up to the show.
Paul is 6-0 as a professional, and he has consistently silenced his skeptics since embarking on his boxing career. The 26-year-old now figures to have his stiffest test to date.
Fury, the half-brother of unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury, has won his first eight fights as a pro. He beat Daniel Bocianski on points in his most recent bout last April.
"The moment of truth has finally arrived," Paul said, per Raimondi. "On Feb. 26, I will get in the ring with a 'real boxer,' an 8-0 fighter from a storied fighting family and show the world the truth about who Jake Paul, the boxer, really is."
