Patriots Rumors: Jakobi Meyers Played Through 'Small Tear' Injury in Knee This Season
New England Patriots receiver Jakobi Meyers played through "a small tear in his knee" during the 2022 season, according to Andrew Callahan and Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.
Meyers missed three games this season. He sat out Weeks 3 and 4 with a knee injury before returning in Week 5. His only other missed action was due to a concussion in Week 14.
Ian Rapoport and Mike Giardi of NFL Network reported in September that Meyers had his knee checked out, but tests "showed nothing significant."

Despite the injury, Meyers led the Patriots with 804 receiving yards on 67 catches. His 57.4 yards per game were a career high, while he scored six touchdowns after totaling just two scores in his first three NFL seasons combined.
New England relied heavily on the 26-year-old as no other wide receiver reached 40 catches in 2022.
Factoring in the lengthy injury, it was an even more impressive year for Meyers.
It could help him earn a long-term deal in free agency this offseason.
The undrafted player out of North Carolina State had a salary just under $4 million in 2022, but he could be due for a significant raise after three straight years of at least 700 receiving yards.
