NFL Playoff Picture 2022: Wild Card Standings and Week 11 Super Bowl Odds
Since trading for star running back Christian McCaffrey, the San Francisco 49ers haven't lost, winning two games over the past three weeks, including Sunday night's home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. This could be the start of their push into the playoffs, where they could be among the most dangerous teams in the NFC.
The 49ers (5-4) are currently in the No. 7 spot in the conference, meaning they would be the third wild card. The closest team to them is the Washington Commanders, who seem likely to fall to 4-6 on Monday night when they go on the road to face the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
Plus, San Francisco is closing in on the NFC West lead. The Seattle Seahawks fell to 6-4 with a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, so they only have a half-game advantage over the 49ers.
There are quite a few other teams in the NFL on hot streaks and appearing to head toward the playoffs after 10 weeks of the season. Here's a look at the latest Super Bowl odds, followed by breakdowns of the AFC and NFC postseason pictures.

If the season ended today, all four AFC East teams would be in the playoffs. It's unlikely that ends up being the case. However, they're all firmly in the postseason mix, and any of the four could end up winning the division title.
The Dolphins took the AFC East lead on Sunday, when they cruised to a 39-17 win over the Browns. However, Miami only ascended to the top spot in the division because Buffalo lost 33-30 to Minnesota in overtime.
But the Dolphins are trending in the right direction. They've won four straight games and have a 2-1 record in AFC East play. Their final three divisional contests of the season will all come within the final four weeks of the regular season.
Not only are the Chiefs alone at the top of the race for the AFC's No. 1 seed, but they're beginning to distance themselves from the rest of the AFC West. They now have a two-game lead over the second-place Chargers, who lost to the 49ers on Sunday night.
The Titans are in the same position in the AFC South. They beat the Broncos 17-10 on Sunday and have now won six of their past seven games, as they remain two games ahead of the second-place Colts.
The AFC North race didn't have any change at the top this week with the Ravens (6-3) and Bengals (5-4) both having byes. Cincinnati is also in the battle for the third wild-card berth, which could be a tight race down the stretch.
The Pats currently own the tiebreaker over the Chargers and Bengals for the No. 7 seed, but any of the three could go on a surge at some point. The Colts are the closest team behind that trio, but it would be quite a surprise if they went on a run under interim head coach Jeff Saturday.

The Giants aren't letting the Eagles run away with the NFC East. And if Philadelphia gets upset by Washington on Monday night, its lead would be down to one game after New York notched a 24-16 victory over Houston on Sunday.
Even if the Giants can't chase down the Eagles, they now have a one-game edge over the rest of the teams in the wild-card hunt. The Cowboys lost 31-28 to the Packers in overtime on Sunday, but they're still the No. 6 seed and are one game ahead of the 49ers.
With Seattle losing and San Francisco winning, the NFC West is much tighter at the top. The 49ers are trending in a great direction, as they're firmly in the No. 7 spot and could soon move to first place in their division.
The Buccaneers are the only team currently in a playoff spot that doesn't have a winning record. But they got back to .500 on Sunday, when they defeated the Seahawks 21-16 in the first NFL regular-season game to be played in Germany. It hasn't been a great year thus far for Tampa Bay, but it's now a game ahead of second-place Atlanta in the NFC South.
The least competitive division in the conference has been the NFC North. The Vikings improved to 8-1 following their improbable victory over the Bills, and they remain well ahead of the Packers, who are 4-6 after beating the Cowboys. The Lions and Bears have only three wins apiece.
It's been remarkable how Minnesota has been winning games during its seven-game winning streak. None of the victories has come by more than eight points, as it keeps finding ways to come out ahead each week.
The Vikings have a ton of momentum and remain close behind the Eagles in the battle for the NFC's No. 1 seed. If Philadelphia ever hits a rough patch, Minnesota is poised to strike.
