NFL Playoff Picture 2022: Week 10 Standings, Super Bowl Odds and Wild Card Hunt
If the 2022 NFL season ended today, several teams would be ending playoff droughts. Most notably, the New York Jets.
On Sunday, the Jets improved to 6-3 and made a statement with a 20-17 win over the Buffalo Bills. New York is currently in an AFC wild-card spot, and it's only a half-game back of Buffalo (6-2) in the AFC East. If the Jets keep it up, they could reach the postseason for the first time since the 2010 season, which is the longest active playoff drought in the NFL.
Neither the Miami Dolphins nor the New York Giants have made it to the playoffs since the 2016 season. And they're both currently in wild-card spots as well.
After Monday night's Baltimore Ravens-New Orleans Saints matchup, Week 9 will be complete and the league will be at the halfway point of the 18-week regular season. So, here's a look at the full NFL standings, the latest odds to win the Super Bowl and a breakdown of the playoff picture at this point.

Division Leaders

2. Kansas City Chiefs (6-2)
3. Baltimore Ravens (5-3)
4. Tennessee Titans (5-3)
Wild-Card Spots
5. New York Jets (6-3)
6. Miami Dolphins (6-3)
7. Los Angeles Chargers (5-3)
A tight race is brewing in the AFC East. The Bills, Jets and Dolphins are all currently in playoff positions, while the Patriots are 5-4. So it wouldn't be surprising if several of these teams end up in the postseason.
The Chargers have dealt with injuries to some of their top players this year, and yet, they're currently in the No. 7 spot, which is the third and final wild-card berth in the AFC. They came out of their Week 8 bye and defeated the Falcons 20-17 on Sunday for their first victory since Week 6.
Of the teams currently not in a playoff spot, only the Pats (5-4) and Bengals (5-4) have winning records. After that, the Colts (3-5-1), Browns (3-5) and Broncos (3-5) have the best marks of squads outside the postseason bubble.
The Bengals, who are the defending AFC champions, have had an up-and-down start to the 2022 season. But they've won three of their past four games after notching a 42-21 victory over the Panthers on Sunday. And if the Ravens lose to the Saints on Monday, then Baltimore and Cincinnati will each be 5-4 atop the AFC North.
The AFC South is shaping up to be the least competitive division in the conference. The Titans fell 20-17 to the Chiefs in overtime on Sunday night, snapping their five-game winning streak. However, Tennessee is still the only team in its division with a winning record at 5-3, as the second-place squad is Indianapolis (3-5-1).
Of course, it's no surprise that Buffalo and Kansas City (each 6-2) have the best records in the AFC, and it's highly likely one of those two teams plays its way to the No. 1 seed in the conference. But with how tight things are in the AFC, plenty of other teams could still rise all the way to the top in the second half of the regular season.
NFC Playoff Picture

Division Leaders
1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-0)
2. Minnesota Vikings (7-1)
3. Seattle Seahawks (6-3)
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)
Wild-Card Spots
5. Dallas Cowboys (6-2)
6. New York Giants (6-2)
7. San Francisco 49ers (4-4)
The Eagles are the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL. However, they also play in one of the most competitive divisions in the league this season. The Cowboys and Giants are both currently in wild-card spots, while even the Commanders (4-5) aren't too far behind the 49ers for the No. 7 seed.
For now, Philadelphia should continue to cruise, as its next three games are against teams with losing records: Washington, Indianapolis (3-5-1) and Green Bay (3-6). But Dallas and New York are keeping the race for the division title tight.
It's a down year for the NFC North, as the Vikings are running away with the division title. The Packers and Bears are both 3-6 and the Lions are 2-6, and none of them is likely to be in the playoff mix (unless Green Bay can figure out a way to get its season back on track).
The Seahawks and 49ers have been the clear top two teams in the NFC West thus far. But the defending Super Bowl champion Rams aren't too far back at 3-5 and the Cardinals are 3-6. So this division race could still end up being close in the second half.
San Francisco, which had a bye in Week 9, is already in a playoff spot, but it could be a team on the rise in the second half. After all, the 49ers now have star running back Christian McCaffrey on an offense that already had some talented playmakers.
Meanwhile, there are currently no teams with a winning record in the NFC South. The Buccaneers (4-5) remain the front-runners after snapping a three-game losing streak with a 16-13 win over the Rams on Sunday. But the Falcons (4-5) and Saints (3-5) are firmly in the race.
