Gunner Kiel to LSU: Breaking Down Notre Dame's Top Remaining QB Targets
Quarterback Gunner Kiel was one of the top prospects of the year and was considering joining Notre Dame, but he ended up becoming an LSU Tiger instead. The Irish were one of the few teams the 5-star recruit was considering, along with Vanderbilt.
Although Notre Dame missed out on a top recruit, they should not be upset that a commitment didn't happen. This team still has a bunch of other talented players at the quarterback position. There are also a few talented quarterbacks out there that are considering committing to the Irish.
Although no offer has been extended to any of these players, the Irish should still consider trying to land one of them.
Here are a few prospects that are still considering Notre Dame.
Robert Gregory
1 of 3Gregory may not have an offer from Notre Dame, but he has shown interest in the program. He is more of an athlete than a top-quality quarterback, but put this guy in the pocket, and he can cause trouble for the defense.
He is very raw with a very strong arm and has speed that very few players on the defensive side of the ball can match.
Gregory had committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks, but recently decommitted and wants to further explore his options. Notre Dame should consider extending an offer.
Marc Evans
2 of 3Evans has great size at 6'2" and 196 lbs. He is great in the pocket, as he's capable of seeing the entire field, and is comfortable working in the shotgun and under center.
He's capable of making nearly every throw on the football field and could be a steal for whichever team he commits to.
In his junior year, he threw for over 2,400 yards and 30 touchdowns.
Although he has yet to make a visit or receive an offer, he should be on the radar of the Irish.
Jadrian Clark
3 of 3Clark is another talented player that is flying under the radar as well. He threw for 1,700 yards and 24 touchdowns his junior season.
He has great size at 6'1", 209 lbs. and is a tough kid who always finds ways to make the big plays. He keeps good control of the football and is very comfortable standing in the pocket.
Clark does tend to take risks with the football at times, but he's a quarterback with a lot of upside that could develop into something in a year or two.
He has an offer from Western Michigan.
