Tim Tebow: SNL Would Be Smart To Bring in Mile-High Messiah

Tim Tebow continues to amaze the nation at every turn. So, it is fitting that he would one day prove to have a tremendous sense of humor as the host of Saturday Night Live.

HollywoodLife.com cites a source with knowledge to report Tim Tebow is being targeted by Saturday Night Live for hosting duties. It seems that Tebow would be keen, but there is no way this happens before the end of the NFL season. 

The report cites a source who issues the following: 

"

SNL realizes it would be huge ratings and they are hoping he will say yes. Tim just can’t and won’t be able to do it while the season is still in play.

"

For those out of the loop, the season for Tebow may last well into January. They have a one-game lead over the Oakland Raiders with two games to play. The playoffs may be as close to a guarantee than the Broncos have had in years.

Now I am not about to jump on the Tebow bandwagon. I still have tremendous issues with his fans who find him to be a star quarterback that can do no wrong. As for Tebow the man, I rather like him. 

He is charming and genuinely seems to be the nicest of personalities. That is the kind of host I can back for the long-running sketch show. 

And really, I am not about to doubt that Tebow is also hilarious when he has already proved me wrong in the, "he can't win a string of ball games" department.

No what if he is a shy host that flubs his lines? What if he comes off as boring and out of touch? Well, that would be awesome. 

SNL continues to be an odd show that never gets canceled despite some very bad years. I wouldn't put this cast in that category, but they are definitely inconsistent with their endeavors. 

That being said, Tebow can't destroy a show that is indestructible. Some of the best episodes are when things go wrong, so this is a win-win situation for all involved. 

This is a genius move by SNL that will see a spike in the ratings and get some exposure for some of the cast that middle America may be missing out on. Tebow Mania continues to spread to the oddest ends of the nation.
