WWE Control2012: Is It Jericho, Undertaker and Who Is She?

Another week, another promo.

Last week's "LookWithin2012" video did not truly show us anything new.

This week, however, "Control2012" has given us possibly the most important video since the first because it has finally introduced us to the second player.

With everyone talking about the two main possibilities: Undertaker and Chris Jericho, the talk about the girl has been small at best.

This week, she simply cannot be ignored.

While I have laid out alternate possibilities to Jericho and 'Taker before, they all seem less and less likely now. However, talk of "she" is a bold new thing to begin analyzing.

This week, the transcript for the video is as follows:

"As he sat upon the mount, the question arose: when shall things be and what shall be the sign of my coming? He answered: when she tells us. She holds the mystery of my arrival, of my rebirth. For when I beckon her, I will return to reclaim what is mine, and things shall never be the same again. On the second day of 2012, it will be the end of the world as you know it."

Now, "she" can be interpreted to a few identities. The first and most obvious pick would be Stephanie McMahon. Perhaps she comes out to give a promo which causes Jericho to come out. Perhaps, as a few people have thought, Shane McMahon will also return.

That seems unlikely as Shane has seemed to distance himself from the WWE lately. Still Stephanie leading to the arrival of Jericho could make sense.

Second, the "she" is Michelle McCool who will being back a revitalized Undertaker. McCool, being the wife of 'Taker, makes this a logical way to bring both back though 'Taker would have to take on a new more mortal gimmick to work kayfabe with McCool.

Third, "she" is not a person. "She" is the WWE. Think about each word. WWE could beckon Jericho to come back, and it would cause to come back. It knows the mystery of Jericho's arrival.

Of course, if this is the case, Jericho makes the most sense with the code and metaphor though 'Taker could get away with it. Just as the little boy is the messenger and not the returning star, the girl does not need to be a tangible individual.

In the end, we still don't know where this heads. Sure, backstage reports by PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc) say that it will certainly be Jericho, but this is not the first time WWE has tried to play the media to their benefit.

Who is she? Who is he? We will find out on January 2, 2012. I know I'm excited.

What are your thoughts? Jericho? Undertaker? Someone completely different? Stephanie? McCool? WWE?
