At just 0:07 seconds of the first round of his fight at UFC 140, Mark Hominick found himself on the losing end of an extremely short match with Chan-Sung Jung.

Hominick came out right away as the aggressor, but after missing a big punch, was hit and hit hard by a punch the Korean Zombie put his whole body into.

The huge shot knocked Hominick to the mat where Jung pounced and proceeded to drop a few big bombs on the Canadian.

It lasted all of seven seconds and Hominick looked dumbfounded after the stoppage.

The loss makes Hominick 1-2 inside the UFC, which isn’t where he wants to be. After such a quick and devastating loss, Hominick is likely to drop down the featherweight rankings.

The featherweight division isn’t too stacked currently, which may prove to be a bad thing for Hominick.

If there isn’t a lot of top-level competition for him, Hominick may find himself fighting on the preliminary card once again.

Fighters are, of course, going to lose, and sometimes lose big, but Hominick needs to put together a great win in his next few fights to build his name back up to what it used to be.

One matchup that would guarantee an extremely entertaining fight would be Hominick versus Leonard Garcia. No matter who he’s matched up with next however, Hominick needs to make sure he gets the win.
