Let me put up a few notes first:

1. The Miz has had a great 2011. Do not forget his past 12 months when compiling any "best of" lists!

2. I think his heel run as champion was great, and he can forever say he beat John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27.

3. As "awesome" as his character has been, he has not reached his full potential yet.

That brings me to the topic today. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin has had any interesting career in the wrestling business. We all know about his beginning days. We all know how fans (and peers) treated him.

Well, guess what? He shocked the world and is now a top name in the wrestling business! Outside of his run to the top and Mark Henry continuing to prove all the doubters wrong, this has been a great past year for two men with tons to prove.

Back to The Miz, he has certainly proved all of his critics wrong. However, that is not the end of his career. He can't stop now. It is far from over, and his best days could very well be in the future.

The Miz turning face in the next year will do just that.

I do not like comparing figures from today to past generations, but the comparison to The Rock in 1998 fits too perfectly.

Both were heels on the rise, and both men were great talents. It was clear that each man had a bright future ahead of them. It was also clear that no matter how much fans hated them; they would likely cheer them even louder with a face turn.

I have no doubts The Miz will be an even bigger star than he is now in this industry. As great as he is now, he will only become more and more popular...

...and he will do so as a face!
