LaRod Stephens-Howling Video: Watch Speedster Sprint Cards Past Cowboys in OT
The Cardinals obviously just need to get their opponents into overtime. It seems they have their foes right where they want them in the extra session.
First Patrick Peterson victimizes the St. Louis Rams in Week 9 with an electrifying punt return for the win. Now the little man with the long name, LaRod Stephens-Howling burns the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys with a great run after the catch. He took a swing pass from newly healthy QB, Kevin Kolb straight to the house.
Kolb narrowly escaped Cowboys DE, Anthony Spencer to get the pass off. LSH took the ball up the sidelines, ran into the back of one of his teammates, managed to stay on his feet and rumble into the end-zone.
The loss was a painful, but not terminal for the Cowboys. They did squander an opportunity to extend their lead over the New York Giants, who also lost to the Green Bay Packers.
The Cowboys are still in control in the NFC East, but they surely dropped a game they should have won. The game would not have even reached overtime were it not for Cowboys' head coach, Jason Garrett calling a timeout in an odd situation. The decision to call a timeout just as his place kicker was draining a 49 yard field goal essentially served as an icing of his own player. Bailey had to re-kick and of course, he missed it.
Garrett will certainly answer questions about this decision, from the media, but worst of all from Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones.
