Top 5 Reasons Daniel Bryan Should Go Back to the Midcard

Justin WatryNov 30, 2011

The title is talking about his near future. I am not referring to putting him in the midcard for the rest of his career. This is only about the next few months.

With that explanation out of the way, I really felt the need to discuss last night's main event. Mark Henry is NEVER, ever losing his World title, so he is set for the main event. However, I really do not feel Daniel Bryan should be on the top of the card right now.

5. He Still Has the Briefcase

1 of 5

He can cash in a World title at anytime he wishes (assuming someone is medically cleared). That is not changing. He is still guaranteed a main event run in the next couple of months.

Why hang around the title picture right now? Just beat some midcard talent and pick your chance to jump back into the main event scene.

4. He Lost Last Night

2 of 5

What else is there to do?

Mark Henry beat him inside the steel cage, and it was never in doubt. Henry beat him. Bryan lost his title match. There really is not much left for Bryan to do right now...

3. Big Show Is Next

3 of 5

We already know the WWE TLC match is set. Mark Henry will defend against The Big Show. Bryan is not mentioned anywhere, and he has no business being involved.

Henry and Show have had a great feud going the past few months, and there is no need for any distractions. This between two men, not three.

2. Who Is Daniel Bryan?

4 of 5

I am sorry to continue harping on this topic, but I have to know. Is he a face? Is he hinting at a heel turn?

I have no idea what side of the coin he is on right now. Is he going to team with Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show, or is he going to start siding with Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes or Hunico?

Until WWE figures out where Bryan stands, I do not want him anywhere near the main event scene.

1. WrestleMania Main Event

5 of 5

Back to my earlier point, he still has that WrestleMania 28 main event waiting for him to try and achieve his dream. He could still go back to his original plan and challenge the champion next spring in Miami.

Why not stay in the middle of the card until February and announce your plans then? By then, he would have some credible wins under his belt and might actually look like a threat to Mark Henry.

Right now he needs to stay in the midcard. Come WrestleMania, he should be ready to main event.
