Auburn Tigers offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn is viewed as a genius in some circles. He's going to be a head coach some day, and he could become a college football legend in the right program.
As a side note, Malzahn's wife is kinda weird.
We know this because she acts pretty weird in the above video, which features Kristi Malzahn opening up on a number of topics at a Christian Leadership Summit.
The actual interview kicks in at about the 1:30 mark. The good stuff starts coming at about the two-minute mark, at which point you'll see and hear Kristi touch on subjects ranging from Lou Holtz's notorious lisp to former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.
Who, if you ask Kristi, is really "cute." Apparently, she loves him.
Which is cool. I guess. Goodness knows Kristi could have said much more incriminating things about Newton.
Before you ask, nothing Kristi says in this video is actually incriminating. All of it is just really weird, and she says all of it in a really weird way. She basically acted like she was on David Letterman, which is kinda awkward seeing as how she was being interviewed by a man of God.
So what? Does Kristi's weirdness in any way cheapen Gus Malzahn's value as a college football coach?
Nope. He's good at what he does, and his coaching stock is not going to take a dive just because his wife is overly eccentric.
But hey, if nothing else this video is good for a few midday laughs. Especially if you're an Alabama fan.
As for you Auburn fans, feel free to apply your palms to your faces.
