Cardinals vs. Rams: Beanie Wells Dominates in Arizona Victory
Beanie Wells showed Sunday why he has frustrated Arizona Cardinals fans for the past three years.ย When Beanie is Beanie, he is one of the best runners in the game. The problem is that more often than not he hasnโt lived up to that potential.
Wellsโ career day was even more surprising due to the fact that twice during the game he appeared to be injured. Just about the only thing that heโs done consistently is be plagued with injuries and sit out games.
Setting a franchise record for most rushing yards in a game with 228, Wells carried the Cardinals to a victory over the Rams. Other than Wellsโ dominant performance, the Cardinal offense was stagnant. Of Arizona's 23 points, only seven of those came from an offensive touchdown.

John Skelton looked bad. He overthrew receivers all day, in particular passes to Larry Fitzgerald, who was overthrown four times before making his first catch in the third quarter.
There were a few big passing plays, but Skeltonโs performance should assure that Kevin Kolb is the starter next week.
The Cardinals defense held its own and continued to show improvement. Rookie linebacker Sam Acho ruled the day with two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Another Cardinal rookie continued to impress as well.
It was dรฉjร vu for the Rams when Patrick Peterson returned another punt for a touchdown, his second against them this season.
With the touchdown Peterson tied the NFL record for most punt returns for a score in a season with four.
It was a typical Cardinals game, rife with frustrations coupled with shining moments. It is a roller coaster that Cardinals fans have ridden for years, and it doesnโt appear that it will stop anytime soon.
