WWE/TNA News: John Morrison's Last WWE Appearance and TNA Plans Revealed

It's being reported by WhatCulture.com that John Morrison's final WWE appearance will be next Monday Night's Raw SuperShow.

The article also added that TNA has more than just a little interest:

The word is TNA are highly interested in him, as they should be, and are looking at bringing in Morrison & Melina in as a couple. The expectation is he will be the lead attraction of the X-Division and talks with TNA are likely to take place after Monday and he will probably join the company in the New Year.

There had been talks with Morrison and the WWE about an extension to his contract but it sounds like neither were all that keen on lengthening their relationship and he is done after next week.

This will mark the end of his seven-year WWE career. During his time with the company, he has seen some mild success.

Unfortunately, he peaked after his last the Intercontinental Title run in 2009. Since then, he has seen former tag partner The Miz attain goals that Morrison could have done if he was used properly.

Sadly, the WWE started to utilize him as a jobber, which has been blamed on his girlfriend Melina's backstage issues. Some may remember, that Melina showed up at Raw after she was fired from the WWE.

She claimed that it was to be there with her boyfriend and show support. However, many questioned her true motives as the average person would not come back to the very place that had fired them weeks earlier.

Needless to say, if TNA really has a plan in place for Morrison and Melina, they can definitely help get TNA over. For several years, TNA has been criticized for their lack of direction and creativity. However, there appears to be a breath of fresh air since Vince Russo was demoted from head writer.

I guess we will have to wait and see how things pan out for the couple and their wrestling futures.
