WWE News: WWE Possibly Signing Luchador to Be Sin Cara's Tag Team Partner

At the beginning of 2011, Rey Mysterio was the only luchador on the WWE’s main roster.

But, as the year has progressed, we’ve seen an influx of Mexican high-flyers in the company. Sin Cara (a.k.a. Mistico) debuted back in April, Hunico worked as Sin Cara’s replacement and impostor before losing his mask last month, and then on last week’s episode of Smackdown, Epico debuted as a heel and aligned himself with Hunico.

Now, it appears we could be seeing yet another luchador headed to the WWE to help out Sin Cara.

According to F4Wonline.com, Mexican star Averno may be brought to WWE television to team with Sin Cara in his rivalry with Hunico and Epico.

Earlier this year, Sin Cara was pushing hard for Averno to be brought in. Reports claim that WWE has gone back and forth on deciding if they wanted to use Averno.

He took part in tryouts recently when WWE was in Mexico, and it seems that there is a better chance than ever of him being used by WWE.

While many of you may not like this decision, I do.

I remember watching WCW in the mid-1990s and thoroughly enjoying the matches between the company’s luchadores, like La Parka, Psychosis, Mysterio, etc. These guys consistently tore the house down, and a good group of luchadores is something that the WWE has been missing.

That style of wrestling may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it does have a certain amount of appeal, especially among the Hispanic viewing audience. Thus, bringing in more luchadores could certainly benefit the company and help build better PPV cards from top to bottom.

Oh yeah, it could also help rebuild the tag team division.

Air Boom and the Usos are still the only legitimate full-time tag teams in the WWE, so the company could certainly use some more teams to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The duos of Epico & Hunico and Sin Cara & Averno could be a great start.
