FC Barcelona: Leo Messi Praises Great Relationship with David Villa

Leo Messi threw cold water at a report from Superdeporte (and reported in Goal) about a poor relationship with David Villa. Messi talked during a press conference about the positive relationship and harmony that exists at Barca.

Messi said that the "players know that it is a lie" and it is "not real." Messi refused to allow himself to be drawn in comparison with other players such as Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi said (in response to the comparison with Ronaldo) that he does not compete with other players. Messi continued by saying that his desire was to play world football and win titles for Barca.

Messi rounded up his press conference by expressing that he was not thinking about the 2011 Ballon D'Or award. Messi said that there will be time to think about the award.

While Messi does not like comparisons, Goal conducted a monthly poll of its readers. The poll dealt with the subject Messi versus Ronaldo.

The results of the latest poll by Goal show Messi with 53.91% of the vote compared to Ronaldo with 46.09%. It remains to be seen what will be the results of the next poll between Messi and Ronaldo.
