Anzhi Makhachkala has denied rumors about loaning Samuel Eto'o to Paris St. Germain (PSG) during the Russian Premier League winter vacation. The rumors (which were published in the Inside Football webpage) states that Eto'o expressed an interest in moving to France during an interview with Canal +.
Alexander Udaltsov (Anzhi Makhachkala's spokesperson) stated that he personally contacted Eto'o about the rumors. Eto'o denied making any comments to Canal + or any other media about being loaned during the Russian Premier League vacation.
The attempt to check the rumor on the Inside Football webpage did not reveal any news about Eto'o or Paris St. Germain. Instead, the Inside Football webpage contained information about the New York Giants (an NFL Team).
The Italian sports magazine La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported a rumor about Eto'o returning to Inter Milan on a loan basis. The rumor was just that, a rumor, as Eto'o and Anzhi did not reply to the news by La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The latest talk about Eto'o and Anzhi comes from Sam Nightingale of Teamtalk. Nightingale commented that Suleyman Kerymov (Anzhi Makhachkala owner) told Eto'o about the club's future plans.
Eto'o (according to Nightingale) revealed that more players will be signing with Anzhi as the years progress towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It remains to be seen what will transpire for Anzhi in the years ahead.
