Boris Diaw Shows His Immaturity In His Comments After Being Traded

Boris Diaw's comments after being traded to the Charlotte Bobcats reflected just how immature he really is. The funny thing is that Diaw has never played consistently for the Suns except for the time when Amare Stoudemire was out because of the microfracture surgery. Other then that, Diaw has been the Suns version of Luke Walton.

Diaw's is quoted as saying "It definitely wasn't as fun," It wasn't as exciting for the fans. It's not as fun for everybody [on the team]. I'll always remember Phoenix with Mike [D'Antoni]. We went from a winning team that was the most exciting team in the league to a half-winning team that wasn't exciting at all."

Yes, Boris, many fans know that the Suns were an exciting team to watch specifically on the offensive end and yes it was fun for Suns fans to watch them put up over 110 points a game.

Hey Boris do you have short term memory loss? The Suns have never made it to the NBA finals under Mike D'Antoni. The reason being is that the team has never played an ounce of defense for a full 48 minutes.

Hence the reason why the Suns have wasted 50 wins seasons over the past four years and the farthest the team has gotten was the conference finals. The Suns in that span had to play the Spurs and have been knocked out by them three times. The other team to knock the Suns out were the Dallas Mavericks who went on to lose to the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

The one consistent problem that has plagued the Suns in the playoffs is the lack of defense. So, when Steve Kerr GM of the Suns last year point blank asked D'Antoni to have the Suns make more of an effort of the defensive side of the ball and D'Antoni refused it was the last straw for D'Antoni.

If he hadn't left for New York he would have been fired. The reason being is that under D'Antoni the Suns would never get over the fact that the team plays very little defense.

Terry Porter was brought into coach the Suns. So far the record of the Suns is at 13-10 not the greatest of records. Porter is trying to slow the Suns down so they'll be able to at least put up an effort on the defensive end and get Shaq involved in the offense.

With the quote from Diaw it's easy to understand that he never bought into the system. Diaw would rathe play "the exciting" type of basketball under D'Antoni then play the style of basketball that is better suited for at least getting  team to the NBA Finals.

If you asked many fans about the San Antonio Spurs if the team is exciting or not? Most fans have stated that the Spurs are a "boring" team to watch. The reason being is that the Spurs pick their spots to run instead of having it ingrained into their heads that the ball must be pushed up the floor.

It's the reason why the Spurs have been so effective against the fast paced team they can slow down the pace of the game, hold onto the ball, get he best shot avaliable to them, and they play defense.

Until the Suns can get to the point where they can play in a half court game the Suns will continually be bounced out from the playoffs.
