Week 7 Fantasy Football: Andre Johnson, Antonio Gates and Stars To Buy Low

With the fantasy football season over half way finished, the rush to the playoffs is in full swing and it’s time to start jockeying for playoff position.

For the fantasy owners sitting in good position, now would be the time to pull the trigger on that move that has been teasing you all season.

The best trade I have seen so far this week was a 5-1 team in an eight-person league when the team traded away Jermichael Finley and Anquan Boldin for Antonio Gates and Andre Johnson.

While the trade helps the other team in the short term, the 5-1 team just got a major boost when the playoffs hit.

Andre Johnson

The injured wide receiver is burning a hole in the team that owns him if they are fighting for a playoff spot, and now is your time to make the trade for the injured star.

While there will still be a few weeks before he is 100 percent right on the field, but he will be ready come playoff time when you really need him.

Antonio Gates

With Antonio Gates starting his slow re-acclimation to the field with the Chargers, now may be the time to make a move for the long term.

This move is shrouded with risk, but if it pays off, you can get Gates for little to nothing because of his foot ailments.

Jahvid Best

While the idea of a second concussion of the season has people on the Detroit Lions and in the fantasy world scared, this is a good opportunity to buy low for the back, especially in PPR leagues.

While there is a chance that Best will not be back this season, the odds are that he will be back before the playoffs which should be right in the heat of fantasy playoff battle.
