5 WWE Superstars We Want to See in UFC Undisputed 3

Vince CareyOct 12, 2011

Earlier this week, it was announced that Brock Lesnar would be one of the featured characters in the upcoming WWE 12 video game.

While this shouldnโ€™t be surprising due to Lesnarโ€™s history as a former WWE champion, some MMA fans have been very vocal against his involvement in the game, claiming that a former UFC champion being featured in a wrestling game gives the public the wrong idea about MMA.

Well, that and Chael Sonnenโ€™s epic promo against Anderson Silva at UFC 136.

But since Iโ€™m one of those few people who isnโ€™t ashamed to say they still watch WWE on a regular basis, in addition to being a diehard MMA fan, it got my wheels turning about which WWE wrestlers I would like to play as in UFC Undisputed 3.ย

John Cena

1 of 5

You had to see this one coming.

Brock Lesnar is probably the most popular fighter in MMA, but John Cena is one of the most popular โ€œathletesโ€ in the world.

MMA purists would hate the idea of having Cena in a video game, but why not?

Arenโ€™t video games supposed to be fun?

Plus, how fun would it be to destroy John Cena with Anderson Silva?

Daniel Bryan

2 of 5

The WWEโ€™s version of Demian Maia, Bryan is said to have the ability to submit his opponent at any time.

Bryan looks more like an everyday guy than most WWE superstars, which might help him in the eyes of MMA fans, but even more importantly, he has started training BJJ at Xtreme Couture.

The effort to improve as a grappler will likely go a long way in the eyes of fans, and he might even be a fun character to play as if they put him in the game.

The Undertaker

3 of 5

He already made UFC headlines once before, why not let him in the game?

When Undertaker and Brock Lesnar exchanged words after UFC 121, it made national headlines even though there was really nothing to talk about.

One couldnโ€™t help but think about how lopsided a fight between the two giant men would be, so why not let us give it a shot?

Jack Swagger

4 of 5

One of the few guys who actually has some skills that would transfer over into MMA, Jake "Jack Swagger" Hogan is a former All-American wrestler for the University of Oklahoma.

Swagger has used his amateur wrestling background to become one of the more talented wrestlers in the WWE, but it would have been interesting if he had went the MMA route.

Imagine how pissed your friends would get if you ground out a decision with a WWE wrestler next time you played the game.

That smile that just crossed your face, thatโ€™s why this needs to happen.

CM Punk

5 of 5

There isnโ€™t a better choice for this list.

CM Punk is a huge MMA fan and he has shown that by doing his best to incorporate different techniques into his matches, such as a huge flying knee. And lately he has been finishing off his opponents by knocking them out with a head kick.

He might be the one WWE guy who MMA fans show some respect for, and he obviously has a ton of love for the sport, which makes him a good option to throw in the game.
