Carles Puyol Dismisses External Criticism of FC Barcelona

Team captain Carles Puyol has dismissed any criticism of FC Barcelona that casts the club in a negative light. The response by Puyol to the external criticism comes in light of two draws against Real Sociedad in their league match.

Puyol was also responding to the comments made by people after the Barca-AC Milan UEFA Champions League match. The maiden match for Barca resulted in a draw as well.

Puyol said that the draws left a "bad taste" in the mouth of Barca but that they have "turned the page." The next match, against Osasuna, will be held this afternoon.

The problem with FC Barcelona is that they usually start the first half without any incidents. The second half is when Barca starts conceding plays and points.

The only exception was the UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan. Pato scored for AC Milan within the first three minutes of the match.

The end result was that Barca was shocked and tried to recover before the match ended in a draw. Barca must play either a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 position and hope for the best without Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique and Alexis Sanchez.

Barca must also tighten the areas around the goal posts and quit giving away points. It remains to be seen whether it will occur.
